COVID-19 Testing for International Travel

Prior to your departure from the USA

Foreign governments now require travelers to present documentation of a negative COVID-19 test result prior to departure. Travelers in Utah can visit any of the Premier Diagnostics locations (no appointment necessary) to take the required COVID-19 test before their trip date. Passengers are encouraged to research COVID-19 testing regulations for the specific country they plan to visit as requirements may vary.

Results from the saliva-based PCR test are returned to the patient within 24-48 hours of testing. Results from the rapid antigen test are returned to the patient within 10 minutes. In both cases, the patient receives a signed PDF copy of their test result to present to airline or government officials as needed.

Test results from Premier Diagnostics are accepted by nearly all foreign governments. Travelers have used test results from Premier Diagnostics to enter Mexico, Canada, Caribbean Islands, and most countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia!

How to receive your COVID-19 test prior to departure:

Please fill out the online forms found here. Then, please visit any of the testing sites found here with no appointment necessary. A signed PDF copy of your test results will be sent to your email as soon as they are made available (~24-48 hours for the saliva RT-PCR test and 10 minutes for the rapid antigen test).

Pricing:

In most cases, insurance companies will not cover the cost of a COVID-19 test prior to travel (only if the patient has symptoms or a known exposure to the virus). Premier Diagnostics offers a traveler discount on both our saliva-based PCR and rapid antigen tests. The saliva-based PCR test is $125 and the rapid antigen test is $100. Travelers may also take the rapid antibody test for $50 if desired.

Same-day PCR test results:

Premier Diagnostics is pleased to provide same-day PCR test results to patients who test in the following locations before the designated cutoff time:

South Jordan location before 10:30 am
Lehi location before 10:30 am
Orem location before 10:15 am

Same-day test results are emailed to the patient by 8:30 pm on the day of their test. Otherwise, results are emailed to the patient by 8:30 pm the following day.

Please Note

Personal identifiers on your negative test results must match the personal information on your passport or other travel documents. This means that when you complete your Premier Diagnostics registration online, you must complete the form to match the information (name, date of birth, etc.) listed on your passport.
